About The Program
The Oakstop Effect serves as a vehicle for mobilizing BIPOC artists in an evolving economy riddled with new challenges resulting from the impacts of the pandemic.
Who We Serve
We support over 50 local artists, arts organizations, and movements to survive and thrive with the inclusive services that The Oakstop Effect provides, with a focus on building the capacity of artists and arts organizations to monetize and sustain their cultural practices. Artists develop professional skills and experience to transition their careers towards full-time practicing artists. Arts organizations have increased opportunities to launch new initiatives, produce exhibits, and program events focused on showcasing local artists and creating economic opportunity for creative professionals.
